Tua Tagovailoa underwent a "tight-rope procedure" on Sunday morning to address what's been diagnosed as a high-ankle sprain, according to Alabama coach Nick Saban. In a release sent by the program. Saban has ruled Tagovailoa out for next Saturday's game against Arkansas, but a "speedy recovery" is expected by the Crimson Tide.
CFFA performs this procedure on high ankle sprains and we think he will be out for much longer than 1 week. The reason they performed the procedure so fast is because he is an athlete needing to get back on the field ASAP. For other patients we usually wait 4 to 6 months and try conservative nonsurgical treatment before undergoing surgery.
