Soft Tissue Masses

Soft tissue masses that are visible and protrude under the skin surface may cause pain or irritation in shoes or when barefoot. Others may be free of pain but can be unappealing to one's eye. These can be reduced in size or even removed. The two most common soft tissue masses are lipomas or a benign fatty tumor and a ganglion cyst. These are often found at the ankle level of women.

Women are predisposed to having a higher proportion of fat in their legs and ankles that is highly resistant to diet and exercise. Ankle liposuction can change the way your legs look. Using a micro cannula, new techniques that decrease scarring and negative effects of bleeding and nerve damage are widely accepted and are effective in reducing unwanted fatty deposits about the ankle and calf.
